It’s a new year, and you know what that means; time to break out the resolutions! While everyone dusts off their workout gear and unboxes those new desk organizers, we thought we’d get in on the fun and share some of our goals for 2025. While the list may sound ambitious, we’re more confident than ever that we’ll be able to stick to it, even once January is over and that “new year, new us” glow has faded.
Presenting: Our New and Improved App
The moment we’ve been hyping for almost a year is finally nearly upon us – with the help of our tech team’s wizardry, and the incredible power of the public beta, the newest version of our listening app is almost ready. Curious about what makes this complete overhaul special? Check out the blog post our Head of Technology, Jacob Raccuia, recently wrote.
Taking a Turn for the Cinematic
Immersive audio has always been at the heart of what we do. But this year, we’re ramping up Cinematic Audio production like never before, with a particular emphasis on adaptations of the titles you know and love. We’ll also be exploring new stories, boldly expanding into sub-genres in which we’ve never produced before, while also staying true to the genre that put us on the map: LitRPG!
Here’s some of what you can expect:
- Dungeon Crawler Carl, Audio Immersion Tunnel Seasons Two and Three – Coming this summer to a dungeon near you, get ready for more irreverent chaos, courtesy of the Royal Court of Princess Donut. Plus, we’re producing the two seasons back-to-back, so there won’t be nearly as long a wait
- When Life Gives You Legends – While we’re immensely proud of the work we did on Luna Ryder’s Classic Audiobook of the same name, we’re even more excited to launch the Cinematic Audio serial in the next few months. This project marks Aaron J. Morton’s showrunning debut, so you know the music will be next level. However we have to wonder if he was waiting for a title to come out with a character ostensibly based on him…
- Awaken Online – Coming this spring, Ryan H. Reid will also be taking his first turn as a Cinematic Audio showrunner, cutting his teeth on Travis Bagwell’s wildly popular LitRPG, Awaken Online. Featuring the iconic voices of Travis Baldree and Andrea Parsneau, this reimagining of one of the most foundational series in the genre is bound to excite existing fans and new listeners alike

One of the highlights of Soundbooth Theater is its vibrant community, and we’re always looking for fun new ways to interact. Enter: vertical video content. Yes, we took one look at the pandemonium that is Instagram Reels and said, “We want some of that.” But seriously, we want to see our community continue to thrive and grow, and sharing snazzy videos with all of you feels like a good place to start. Follow us on Instagram, TikTok, and our new YouTube channel to check it out.
