Spellcaster Ted, Book 1

Synopsis
A DnD game gone wrong drops Ted into a world where wizards rule and mythical creatures stalk the land. Monsters straight out of a fantasy RPG—goblins, trolls, dragons, and worse—threaten to destroy him.
Thankfully, Ted is joined by his three best friends, who’ve embodied the builds they defined during character creation. Fun-loving Clegg is now a boisterous dwarf who argues with his talking hammer. Snarky Aella has become a vaunted Zialan warrior with a tongue as sharp as her blades. Kind-hearted Castillo now stomps about as a mighty ogre with the mind of a four-year-old. The three of them nag, joke, and banter amongst themselves, but in battle they are mighty, competent warriors.
Ted is not.
Really not.
When creating his character, Ted avoided choosing wizard or sorcerer, instead opting for spellcaster: other. The result is part mage, part bard, and part… something else. This bumbling spellcaster must learn, perfect, and execute spells without ending up dead from an enemy attack… or from his own mistakes.
To add to Ted’s stress, the faceless dungeon master pulling the strings seems to have it out for him. Each quest laid out before Ted and his crew seems more dangerous than the last.
Survive or die, Ted. The choice is simple, even if success is unlikely.
Time to level up. You’ve got a world to save.
