Love the story FX too loud
Everything is in my title. I love this series, funny, well written, perfectly narrated. Sadly the music and FX ofter step over the narration and it's hard to concentrate on it.
A bit of a jolt
Love my DCC audiobooks, but these add a bit more depth and flesh to the experience. Not to mention a distinct jolt to ‘reading’ experience I’ve accustomed myself to since my eyesight has started declining. Kind of needed the kick in the BP to be honest. Keeps the experience even more real. More accurate.
Freaking Awesome
A great listen, even after listening to the Audible version twice. The Cinematic version gives the world around Carl more life and the nuanced little adds made so that certain things are acted out instead of the narrator just describing them is awesome (example: conversation in the beginning between Carl and a buddy). Little nuggets of amazingness sprinkled throughout the listen. Definitely justifies to me getting the whole season to listen to.
